Our business to business training can be delivered as standalone courses, tailored in house programmes, or as part of a wider organisational development plan.

Capabilities

Our key training areas

Every programme is built and delivered by practitioners, shaped around your operating environment and designed to leave your people more capable the day after the course than the day before it.

01

Security & Terrorism Training

Counter Terrorism Training

Our security and terrorism training helps organisations develop the knowledge, confidence and practical capability needed to identify security concerns, reduce vulnerability and respond effectively to terrorism related risks.

With the introduction of The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, commonly known as Martyn's Law, many organisations are now reviewing how they prepare their people, premises and procedures. Oakwood provides a clear training pathway to support this, from front line awareness through to practitioner level development and formal regulated qualification.

Crisis Management Training

Crisis Management Training

Our crisis management training helps organisations prepare for serious incidents, disruption and high pressure situations where normal management arrangements may no longer be enough.

We focus on the human and operational realities of crisis response, including decision making under pressure, crisis leadership, information management, communication, team coordination, escalation and recovery.

Training can be delivered for strategic leaders, tactical management teams, incident response teams, communications teams or wider business functions.

Mental Health First Aid Training

Mental Health Training

Mental health first aid training helps organisations create a more supportive workplace by developing employees who can recognise signs of mental health difficulty, have appropriate conversations and guide colleagues towards suitable support.

This training is not about turning employees into counsellors or clinicians. It is about giving people the confidence to notice when someone may be struggling, respond appropriately and understand how to support early intervention.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training is the mental health equivalent of physical first aid. It gives individuals the practical skills to recognise the signs and symptoms of poor mental health, approach and support someone in distress, start conversations with confidence and signpost to appropriate professional support.

Mental Health First Aid training is widely used across organisations to improve workplace wellbeing, employee support, and organisational resilience. As outlined by MHFA England, the right support at the right time can make a lasting difference to individuals, workplaces, and society.

Investing in workplace mental health training is no longer optional. Poor mental health impacts productivity, absence, engagement, and risk. For organisations operating in high pressure environments, Mental Health First Aid training is a critical component of a wider resilience strategy.

At Oakwood, we go beyond standard delivery. Our Mental Health First Aid training in the workplace is practitioner led, drawing on real world experience in high risk environments; scenario based, focusing on practical application; evidence based, developed in line with MHFA England guidance; and integrated, linking mental health to wider risk and resilience frameworks. All courses are delivered by accredited Instructor Members approved to deliver MHFA England training, and learners who complete MHFA England training also receive certification and access to ongoing support through the Association of Mental Health First Aiders.

How does Oakwood deliver ROI compared to off-the-shelf eLearning platforms?+

Off-the-shelf eLearning often results in low engagement and tick-box compliance without building real operational capability.
